Haitao has extensive experience and deep knowledge in biotech/pharmaceutical industry. Before joining the venture capital field, she was a group leader/principle investigator at Genentech, the US subsidy of Roche. She led research and development projects from inception to clinical development. In collaboration with business development department, she evaluated new technologies as acquisition targets. Haitao holds a Ph. D in Biochemistry from State University of New York at Stony Brook and trained as a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University. Throughout her career, Haitao authored numerous high profile research papers and book chapters.
Juan has extensive experience in human molecular genetics, particularly analysis of the effects of gene polymorphism on medicine. She has 5 years of experience in Investment and strategy management of startups in the frontier of biotechnology in Southbridge Capital. She received her Biochemistry and Molecular Biology doctor degree from Jilin University and had her Postgraduate training joint doctoral of CSC Scholarship Program in Molecular Biology from Harvard Medical School.
With finance background and entrepreneurial spirit, Danny founded his first startup during his freshman years in Canada Vancouver. He built substantial knowledge in venture investment through the eyes of an entrepreneur. After making several high profile investments alongside famed investors in China, he joined ZJBIO, a antibody company based in Shanghai, in pursuit of understanding the dynamics of the pharmaceutical industry in China. He then moved to serve as the leading investment role at HaiKang Life, a molecular diagnostics company. Helping the company raise capital from well known investors in Asia. Danny is currently serving as the Vice-Chairman of Hong Kong Biotechnology Organization.
Tingting is an associate focused on healthcare venture investments. Prior to joining BPC, she was a senior associate at SynCapital, a VC firm in Shenzhen, China, where she led investment efforts in healthcare, sourced overseas investment opportunities with a focus on the United States, and partnered with founders and investors in the healthcare field. Tingting holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, where her research focused on nuclear receptors' regulation of metabolism and the roles of related therapeutic targets in metabolic diseases. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Wuhan University.
